Your local Green Councillors are Ian Poyser and Lauren Maclay

Cllrs Lauren McLay and Ian Poyser

Ian has worked in business, industry and local authority for over twenty years and now runs his own business. He understands how business, Local Government and the local community can work together best.

Brought up in a Services family - his mum & dad serving in the RAF and his dad in the police for over 25 years - Ian has a huge amount of respect for serving personnel and their families.

Ian has fresh energy to bring to the Council, along with the time, skills and experience to be a stronger voice for our area. He can put Chaddlewood first, above party politics.

Lauren works in communications for the Eden Project - an educational charity that looks to connect people with the natural world. Lauren’s role includes making sure that people from all walks of life can enjoy the benefits of nature. She brings a wealth of knowledge about the tourism, arts and culture sectors to her role as a councillor.

 

A keen outdoors enthusiast, Lauren loves enjoying the natural riches of Dartmoor and the sea where she can
be found bouldering, paddleboarding and swimming, often with her rescue greyhound in tow.
