Last night saw Plymouth Greens more than double our number of the votes compared to the 2018 election, whilst standing one fewer candidate than last year.
Green spokesperson Ian Poyser: “This represents one the best performances by the local party in recent years and is in line with the outstanding results for Greens nationally.”
Green Party Co-ordinator, Andy Pratt: “Every Green vote sends a clear message that a growing number of people want to see a different approach to politics in Plymouth. An approachwhich recognises the critical importance of acting on climate change, but also tackling the social catastrophe caused by austerity that is creating misery and suffering in communities across Plymouth.”
“We’re determined to build on tonight’s successes and confident Plymouth will have Green councillors in the near future.”
